Cheeks are an important facial structure that conveys youthful appearance. When cheeks flatten with age, the face loses its youthful appearance and can make the mid and lower face look like it is dropping. The classical youthful face is an inverted triangle, where the cheeks are the widest part of the face and the chin and jaw are the narrowest. In aging as the cheeks flatten and bone is resorbed, the jowls in the lower face become accentuated and the triangle is reversed.
Many people will complain of nasolabial lines for example, but often this is accentuated due to flattening of the mid cheek. If just the nasolabial line is treated, it often doesn’t give the best result when compared with combined check and nasolabial lines. It is important to balance the face and not always concentrate just on the area of complaint.

Cheek Fillers at London and Surrey Aesthetic Clinic
Are you looking to enhance your cheekbones, add volume to your cheeks or rejuvenate your face? Then cheek fillers could be the answer. Cheek fillers, also known as filler injections, are dermal injectables that plump up the skin to add volume and contour the face.
They can be used to address fine lines, wrinkles, shape and volume loss, and to rejuvenate a youthful appearance.
At the London and Surrey Aesthetic Clinic in London, we offer a range of dermal fillers which can be used to add volume to the cheeks and other areas of the body.
Our team of experienced practitioners have extensive expertise in cheek fillers and will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs. We understand that every patient is unique, and therefore we take a detailed approach to each patient’s assessment.
What are Cheek Fillers?
Cheek fillers are injectable treatments that use hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, to add volume and contour to the cheeks. Hyaluronic acid has been proven to be a safe and effective treatment for enhancing facial features, with minimal risks and side effects.
Common trade names of cheek fillers are Juvéderm , Restylane, Teoxane, Belotero, or Intraline. Depending on the filler, they can last up to 18 months to 2 years.
Benefits of Cheek Fillers
Cheek fillers offer a range of benefits, including:
- Plumping up the skin to add volume and contour
- Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Rejuvenating a youthful appearance
- Improving facial contours and definition
- Adding symmetry to the face
Cheek fillers can also be used to address other areas of the face, such as the jawline and temples to a small degree.
Procedure and Results
Cheek filler injections are a quick and simple procedure that usually takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Our practitioners will use a needle or cannula to inject the filler into the tissue, which can cause some discomfort and tenderness.
After the procedure, some swelling and redness may occur, but this usually subsides within a few days. Bruising can also occur, but this is temporary and can be covered with makeup (after 12 hours).
The results of cheek fillers are visible immediately after the treatment, with full results appearing within a few days. Cheek fillers can last up to two years, depending on the amount of filler used and the patient’s individual factors.
Cost and Offer
At London and Surrey Aesthetic Clinic, we offer competitive prices for cheek fillers. Our prices start from £300.
Our practitioners will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and budget.
Downtime and Aftercare
Cheek filler treatments typically have minimal downtime, with patients able to return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. It is important however to avoid wearing cosmetic products like makeup for at least 6-12 hours after the injections. Do not touch the area especially if you haven’t washed your hands – we carry a lot of germs on our hands.
No heat should be used for 48 hours and that includes drinking hot drinks as well as going into steam rooms or saunas. Heat can make the filler more malleable, and it can then move to places we don’t wish it to go. High intensity exercise should be avoided for the first 48 hours, and alcohol should also be avoided for 24 hours too, as these increase the risk of bruising and of course increases heat. It is important not to massage the area. If there are any small lumps at 2 weeks, please come back to clinic so that we can assess them. Massaging the area can move the filler to places we don’t want it to go. Always use sunscreen after having filler treatment and avoid UV light for 48 hours after treatment. Avoid unnecessary pressure over the area treated especially in the first 24 hours.
